Playing with Fonts and making my own art

So I have been redoing a few of the art pieces around our house.  I have long wanted one of those Keep Calm and Carry On Signs but think they have become too commonplace.  I finally created one that I like and I think applies directly to my life with 3 boys, a husband and grandfather in the house.

It looks pretty good in the living room and may make me laugh instead of cry sometimes....seems like a good one.

I also redid our flower picture that goes above the fireplace and created a  Family Rules Poster surrounded by family pictures

Here are our family rules

and the finished product

The boys and I have been saying the rules as a prayer every morning.  It helps us all remember and remind each other how to behave during the day.

Summer Fun days

We have had a nice summer so far.  Orson has gone to a few Vacation Bible Schools and one Art Camp but mostly we have hung out at home, gone on a few day trips and enjoyed the mild summer.

We finger painted one day.  F was not so impressed with the mess.

Lots of water time on the back deck:

Checking out Theodore's toys is always fun

Theodore Isaac

Its hard to believe but Theodore is now 2 months old!  He has had a busy two months learning to play with his brothers, struggling with some reflux issues, growing into a chunk and being baptized.  He is a wonderful smiley little guy that everyone loves and adores.  We are so happy he is here!

Baths with brothers

His Baptism went really well.  He slept through the entire Mass and the big boys did pretty well.  Matt J is his Godfather and Tia Sofie is his Godmother.  My friend Irene Bristow stood in for them both and Grandpa Bob was able to come.  As always I was so happy to introduce him to the church and it was so nice to know people in the congregation this time around.

Afterwards we enjoyed brunch at Mon Ami Gabi.

Finally, here he is posing for the camera at the one month mark:

and just for reference, here is one of Orson at a month:

and one of Ferdinand:

Oh, and I almost forgot, he is weighing in at 15.25 lbs and 25.25 inches and plans for a move this September have been delayed and we will maybe in the same house from conception all the way to the 1st birthday!  He is a record setter :)

4th of July Weekend

We spent the 4th of July with our good friends the Scarborough's who just moved to Chesapeake, VA outside of Norfolk, VA and had a wonderful time.  We went to their pool, chased fireflies, set off a few fireworks, visited the Outer Banks and toured an airplane museum.  Theodore also turned 1 month while we were there and I made him a special 4th of July Tie shirt :)

Kids in the pool:

Babies on the beach (Ferdinand was unimpressed with the entire thing and just kept complaining that the sand was a mess)
